The multitudes of emotion: a workshop on Grandmother Moon

๐ŸŒ‘๐ŸŒ’๐ŸŒ“๐ŸŒ”๐ŸŒ•๐ŸŒ–๐ŸŒ—๐ŸŒ˜๐ŸŒ‘

We each know our Sun sign- zodiacal language that expresses personality. Our sun sign represents how we thrive and generate light -and in a patriarchal society that values productivity and outward expression, this information is celebrated.

But what about our Moons?? Our Moon represents our emotions, our protection, nourishment & our sense of home. We connect to our friends, partners and humanity through our Moons; it is time we honor them!

In this 2 hour workshop we will talk about, embody and intuit the 12 different Moon signs, and 8 different moon phases. These unique combinations of waxing, waning, fire, earth, wind and water moons express so much!

We will talk about progressed moon phases, how they create chapters in our lives. We will also discuss how to honor and celebrate the swift dance of Grandmother Moon transiting the night sky through ritual.

This workshop will be partial lecture, discussion, embodiment and journal time.

Please bring a journal, writing supplies, a water bottle, comfortable clothes and *an offering (food or otherwise) for an altar to Grandmother Moon.

*the offerings will not be returned

About the workshop facilitator:

Xander is a triple water sign, queer, indigo who honors the moon, and delights in the language of the cosmos. With the Dark Moon Lilith conjunct their 12th house Pluto, they feel energy and vibrations very deep.

They have studied under Chani Nicholas, Demetra George and Rhea Wolf. In 2018 they graduated the first year, โ€˜Astro-Empowermentโ€™ program at the Portland School of Astrology. They interweave their intuition, studies and artwork in a visceral experience. They read whole sign houses from a Western lens, utilizing both modern and traditional techniques with a strong emphasis on the lunar nodes, moon phases and progressed luminaries.
