We invite you to join us at Abundant Space - a heart centered healing and meditation center - for deep stress relief, empowerment and connection through the magic of your own breath.
Flow of the afternoon:
We will begin in community with a guided meditation and then move into an hour of guided Somatic Breathwork™, followed by an integration and sharing circle.
You will be lovingly and expertly guided using the medicine of your own breath as the vehicle to move feelings of stress, overwhelm, tension, fear, and pain through your body and in turn gain clarity and embody a state of expansion, love and bliss.
This Co-Ed event is perfect for people who have experienced breathwork before as well as those who this will be their first time.
About:
Somatic Breathwork™ is an embodiment experience, taking you out of your thinking mind and into your body’s electrical network. It allows you to release trapped energy within this network caused by repeating thoughts, feelings, trauma and old narratives by discharging it out through your body via your breath.
Your nervous system is the electrical network of your being. Over time, unresolved trauma or chronic stress causes dis-regulation of this network. When dis-regulated, difficulties in your personal or professional life arise. When you heal trauma and stress, you heal the electrical network of your nervous system. When you heal the nervous system, you heal the emotional self so your authentic self can emerge.
Somatic Breathwork™, employs circular connected breathing coupled with rhythmic music to produce a cathartic emotional release. This release may be in the form of moving, shaking, yelling, crying, or laughing. Using the breath, you will engage your innate ability to heal and sweep out any defenses, blockages, restrictions, traumas and pains that hold you back from who you are and how you want to show up in this world.
Please make sure to:
+Come dressed in comfortable clothes.
+Bring a yoga mat, and/or blanket, journal and water bottle!
+Not eat any heavy meals 2 hours prior to the session as it can be uncomfortable on the stomach.
