Meditative Unwinding & Chat

For most of human history, our attention belonged to us.

Now it belongs to notifications, feeds, recommendations, algorithms, and an endless stream of things designed to keep us looking just a little longer.

This month's Meditative Unwinding is an invitation to interrupt that cycle.

Many of us don't even notice what we've traded away until we step outside of it: uninterrupted thoughts, sustained attention, deeper conversations, boredom, creativity, even the ability to finish a book.

After spending over a week entirely off Instagram, shopping apps, and Royal Match (ugh I love that damn game), I was thrilled with the outcome. My anxiety quieted. My attention returned. Small projects suddenly felt possible again. Reading became enjoyable. My irritation levels dropped dramatically.

I wasn't trying to optimize my life or worried about making it "aesthetic". I was just...living.

The impetus for the change? A BUNCH of recent conversations about how social media and our phones are quietly chipping away at our joy and sense of self.

All of that became the inspiration for this month's gathering.

We'll begin with a guided meditation before opening an honest discussion about social media, technology, and what it means to reclaim our attention in a world competing for it every second.

This isn't about tossing your phone off a bridge or pretending the internet doesn't matter; it's about learning to use technology intentionally instead of automatically.

Come if you're tired of feeling distracted.

Come if you've ever reached for your phone without knowing why.

Come if you miss feeling fully present in your own life.

Spots are super limited to keep the discussion focused.
